You'll be fine with it. It's not that different than a welded one in safety for what you will probably do. Welds are only as good (and only look good) as the capability of the welder. But the main reason I suggest the bolt-in is it's easy to work with, easiy to take out and paint, you can play around with different bolt colors, you can remove it easily if you want to take it out, you might get another Z and then put it in that one (which again will make it easy to do) or you may just want to sell it some day. Anyway, it's easy to work with comes clean out of the box and is most likely all you need.
